Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a stealth-based third-person open-world shooter. The Phantom Pain is the latest and final part of the Metal Gear Solid series. The game takes place in war-torn 1984 open-world Afghanistan and Africa. The head-titular character “V” is a heavily battle-scarred Snake, who awakens in a hospital bed and finds that the ending to MGSV: Ground Zeroes left him with a missing arm, and a horn-like metallic shard lodged into his head. He, along with the Mother Base team, must take down the evil terrorist, Skull Face.
